Best things to see and do in Mijas!
Mijas is one of the most picturesque Pueblos Blancos that will make you feel the essence of Andalusia. It is located on a mountain at 430 meters above sea level, 30 km southwest of Malaga. It is an ideal destination to spend the day discovering its white houses, its flowery and labyrinthine streets, and enjoying the viewpoints with wonderful views of the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.
Its narrow streets are decorated with blue pots painted by hand and full of colorful flowers. In the village you can visit the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Peña, a church over 16 centuries old built upon rock, and the Bullring that is located on top of the town with its peculiar oval shape.
Mijas Pueblo is located in the Sierra but also has famous beaches such as La Cala or Calahonda, small coves of fine sand. It also has several golf courses and numerous resorts on the coast.
How to get to Mijas?

desde Málaga: Se llega en unos 20-30 minutos. El camino es muy sencillo y solo habrá que coger la Autovía del Sol (AP-7) y coger la salida 214 direción Mijas/Fuengirola.
Recomendación: Una vez en Mijas recomendamos dejar el coche en el “Parking Virgen de la Peña”. Es un aparcamiento de 6 plantas ubicado en el centro del pueblo y que tiene un precio de 1€ al día.
