Day 1. Friday.
COSTA DEL SOL – TARIFA – TANGIER – RABAT
Departure from the different collection points on the Costa del Sol. Once in Tarifa, you will embark on the ferry that will cross the Strait of Gibraltar to Africa. After this short journey, you will disembark in Tangier, pass through customs, and find the coach waiting to take you, via Larache, to Rabat, the diplomatic and administrative capital of Morocco and the official residence of King Mohammed VI.
You will spend time visiting Rabat’s most symbolic places: the exterior of the Royal Palace, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the unfinished Hassan Tower. All of these monuments are important examples of Almohad architecture.
After an intense, fruitful day, you will have dinner and stay at your hotel.
Day 2. Saturday.
RABAT – MEKNES – FES
The day begins with breakfast at the hotel and then you will immediately head east to Meknes, an Imperial City surrounded by 40 kilometres of wall. You will enjoy a sightseeing tour taking in the Bab Mansour gate, which is the most beautiful in Morocco and the city’s most famous monument.
You will continue visiting Imperial Cities with a stop off at the one with the most monuments: Fes. You will visit its most intriguing places, including the Seven Gates of the Royal Palace, the Jewish quarter or Mellah, the Bab Bou Jeloud gate, and the city’s spectacular Medina or old quarter, which has been declared a World Heritage Site. Furthermore, you will also visit the University of Al Quaraouiyine, which is home to the largest Islamic shrine in Morocco.
Finally, you will have dinner and head back to your hotel to rest.
Day 3. Sunday.
FES – TANGIER – TARIFA – COSTA DEL SOL
After breakfast at the hotel you will head for Tangier. From there, you will transfer to the port to embark on the ferry to Spain. At the indicated time, you will arrive at the different departure points along the Costa del Sol.
